We take a multidisciplinary approach to improving your health and well being. Our chiropractic practice provides a range of services, therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques including:
Diversified Technique Adjustments
This type of chiropractic adjustment/manipulation includes most of the procedures taught by chiropractic institutions. This technique is probably the most familiar to patients, as it is the most commonly used chiropractic technique. It involves a high velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by hand. This usually results in a cavitation of a joint, or the popping noise often associated with an adjustment. This technique can be used to treat many of the joints in the body. This technique is designed to restore neurologic and normal joint function to the area being addressed. As function is restored, the patient will experience a decrease in symptoms and pain relief.
Thompson Method
This chiropractic method utilizes a drop table that has several segments, called drop pieces. The chiropractor applies a gentle thrust to the joints, which sets a drop piece in motion and targets a specific tissue or joint. The drop pieces in the table minimize the force used for the adjustment or manipulation, which assists the thrust. This type of adjustment is lighter than a manual adjustment and typically does not elicit any noise.
Extremity Adjustments
Extremity Adjustments refer to the treatment of conditions or adjustment of joints other than the spine. This includes the elbows, hips, knees, ankles/toes/foot, wrists/hands/fingers, and so on. Conditions treated by this type of adjustment include: posture-related problems, gait problems, and carpal tunnel syndrome. In addition, adjustments can also treat help plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, shin splints, and more.
