Serving Grand Island, NE, and neighboring communities since 2005, our office offers personal exam rooms, a cozy consultation space, a tranquil massage room, and specialized areas for Traction Therapy, Electric Muscle Stimulation, Shock Wave Therapy, Hot/Cold Therapy, and an Active Rehabilitation Center. Our Doctors and Staff

Dr. Tom Cobler

Dr. Tom Cobler graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October 2000. He is originally from Hartington, NE and has been practicing in Grand Island since July 2005. Dr. Cobler has nearly 20 years of experience in treating and educating his patients to a healthier way of life. He utilizes traditional hands-on (manual) chiropractic techniques to adjust his patients. His knowledge in McKenzie Diagnosis and Treatment, various soft tissue techniques and specific exercises is used to facilitate the patient’s healing process and maximize their outcome. His patients gain an understanding of their condition and are prescribed a home therapy program so they can help themselves while away from the office. Dr. Cobler uses and has become knowledgeable in Disc Decompression Therapy. DDT is used in relieving the pain associated with herniated/bulged discs and muscle spasms in the neck or lower back. Outside of the clinic Dr. Cobler enjoys fishing, golf, hunting as well as gathering with friends and family.

Dr. Mitchell Maire

Originally from Grand Island, Nebraska, Dr. Mitchell Maire’s passion for chiropractic care was reignited after he personally experienced low back and neck injuries from a serious car accident. This life-changing event not only deepened his empathy for patients but also reaffirmed his commitment to helping others heal through evidence-based chiropractic techniques.

Dr. Maire graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland University in April 2016. His academic excellence was matched by a dedication to advanced, hands-on clinical training. Dr. Nate Backer

Dr. Nate Backer is originally from Grand Island. He graduated from GICC in 2007. He went on to play soccer at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Nate attended Cleveland Chiropractic College and graduated Magma Cum Laude in 2015. From there, Dr. Nate practiced in Overland Park, Kansas for 8 years. He was one of the team chiropractors for the Kansas City Blues (a semi-pro rugby team,) the Kansas City Current (a professional women’s soccer team,) and the Christ Prep high-school football team. Dr. Marissa Caspersen

Dr. Marissa Caspersen is originally from Luxemburg, Wisconsin. She moved to Nebraska with her husband, who is originally from the area. Marissa was Salutatorian of her class and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in June of 2021. While in the clinic, Marissa also served as an intern in the Rehab Department in the Palmer Clinics where she learned how to treat various injuries through chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work, and rehab exercises. Amanda Kinney, LMT

Amanda Kinney is a Nebraska native. In December 2006 she graduated from Myotherapy Institute in Lincoln. Amanda has advanced training in trigger point and cervical neck pain. Amanda enjoys working in the team environment at Cobler Chiropractic and loves helping her clients achieve health, wellness, and relaxation in a clinical setting. The combination of Chiropractic and Massage Therapy is very effective in conditions such as Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Cramps, Headaches/Migraines, Plantar Fasciitis and Insomnia. Chiropractic and Massage synergistically address multi-faceted conditions more efficiently with improved patient outcomes.
